Burleigh Heads Events
The Village Markets
Monthly Event.
The Village Markets at Burleigh Heads are the Gold Coast’s first fashion markets. Theses Burleigh Heads markets are a community of fashion designers, artists and collectors of vintage fashion and accessories. It is a community focused event, retailing quality hand-crafted products. The Village Markets are committed to supporting young and emerging designers, artists and artisans. Throughout the markets there is a cultural blend of Gold Coast stylers, intellectuals, students, artists, urban professionals and more.
The Gold Coast is looking for an event where like-minded individuals and partnerships can showcase their work, network with other small business owners and most importantly sell their goods. Currently there are several Art and Craft markets on the Gold Coast, but nothing that caters for the younger generation, the 18 to 34 year olds that make up 17.5% of the Gold Coast population.
The lack of cultural and community events on the Gold Coast has prompted the creation of The Village Markets, a non-funded alcohol free community focused event. The markets will reflect the concepts of other more established markets such as Bondi Markets, Paddington Markets and London’s Portobello Road Markets, both known throughout the world for serving as launching pads for some of the most successful young creative talents in recent years.
